Autumn Leaf Raking Fundraiser!

A team of socially-distant Aurora Pride volunteers will rake your yard, and bag the leaves if you have yard waste bags. Includes an Aurora Pride 2020 yard sign.

Our team will rake on Saturday the 28th or Sunday the 29th, to coincide with the end of the City of Aurora's free leaf pickup.

Pride Parade postponed to 2021

After careful consideration, and in an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to postpone the 3rd Annual Aurora Pride Parade to June 13th, 2021.

The mission of Aurora Pride, and the purpose behind the Aurora Pride Parade, is to support and embrace LGBTQ Aurorans and our allies.  This mission has not changed, but the inexorable mathematics of COVID-19 makes a large public celebration dangerous. For the past two years,  keeping you safe has meant cooperation with, and hard work from, the Aurora Police department, the City of Aurora, and our volunteers, along with an abundance of sunscreen and bottled water.

For the first time, that’s not enough.

The need for Pride hasn’t diminished, so we don’t want Pride month to go entirely unmarked. We’re looking at alternative ways to celebrate that don’t put people at additional risk. Stay tuned. :)

You gave to Aurora Pride to support our efforts to put on an amazing parade, and for that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  This is a different world now than it was when you gave, even if it was only a week ago. In recognition of that, anyone who contributed to the 2020 GoFundMe, made a sponsorship contribution or other donation, or submitted their participation fee, is eligible for a full refund, no questions asked.  The needs of our families and our business have changed, and we want to support the community to the best of our ability.

If you choose not to receive a refund, the following will apply:

  • Donations will go toward 2020 non-gathering Pride efforts, or the 2021 parade.

  • Sponsors will have alternate promotion options, to be determined as 2020 plans evolve.

  • Parade participants can let their fee apply to 2021; additionally, if there is a fee increase for 2021, the 2020 rate will apply.

If you had planned on donating and are still able, in lieu of a donation to Aurora Pride, please consider supporting Youth Outlook, 360 Youth Services, Hesed House, or the American Red Cross.

Después de cuidadosa consideración, y en abundancia de precaución, hemos tomado la decisión de posponer el 3er Desfile Anual de Orgullo LGBTQ de Aurora al 13 de junio de 2021.

La misión de Aurora Pride, y el propósito detrás del Desfile de Orgullo de Aurora, es apoyar y aceptar con brazos abiertos a la gente LGBTQ de Aurora y a nuestros aliados. Esta misión no ha cambiado, pero las matemáticas inexorables de COVID-19 hacen que una gran celebración pública sea peligrosa. Durante los últimos dos años, mantenerlo a salvo ha significado la cooperación y el trabajo duro del departamento de policía de Aurora, la ciudad de Aurora y nuestros voluntarios, junto con una abundancia de protector solar y agua embotellada.

Por primera vez, eso no es suficiente.

La necesidad de Aurora Pride no ha disminuido, así que no queremos que el mes del Orgullo LGBTQ quede completamente sin reconocer. Estamos buscando formas alternativas de celebrar que no pongan a las personas en riesgo adicional. Estén atentos. :)
